Where Nature, Holistic Living, and Real Learning Come Together

Well Rooted Foundations is a nature-based microschool in Hudson, Florida, created for families who want more than traditional learning.

At Well Rooted, children learn through real-life, hands-on experiences that connect them to the world around them. Instead of sitting behind desks, they spend their time gardening, exploring nature, working with herbs, and learning how natural systems function together.

This approach is rooted in the belief that children learn best when they are actively engaged—building confidence, independence, and practical life skills along the way.

Our environment is calm, intentional, and centered around small-group learning so each child is seen, supported, and able to grow at their own pace. Children also have the opportunity to interact with bees, chickens, and ducks, gaining a deeper understanding of where food comes from and how nature works in harmony.

Well Rooted is led by Andreea Barron, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Alternative Medicine, bringing a holistic, whole-child perspective into the program. She is joined by co-educator Marissa Bonelli, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exceptional Student Education and provides experience in supporting diverse learners.Together, the program blends holistic principles with strong educational support to create a meaningful and well-rounded learning experience.

This is more than a class—it’s a place where children can grow, explore, and become confident, capable individuals rooted in the world around them.

If this way of learning resonates with you, we'd love to connect.
